Privacy Policy

Information We Don’t Collect

BigPlay does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Viewing history or preferences to any external server

Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us:

• IPTV Credentials: Your playlist URLs, Xtream Codes API credentials, and server information are stored locally on your device and in your private iCloud container (if iCloud is enabled).
• Watch History & Progress: Your viewing history, watch progress, and favorites are stored locally and synced via your private iCloud account.
• App Preferences: Your settings and customizations are stored locally on your device.

iCloud Sync

BigPlay uses Apple’s CloudKit framework to sync your data across your devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud container, which means:

• Only you can access this data through your Apple ID
• We cannot read, access, or retrieve your iCloud data
• Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
• You can disable iCloud sync at any time in Settings

Third-Party Services

TMDB (The Movie Database)

BigPlay uses the TMDB API to fetch movie and TV show metadata (posters, descriptions, ratings, episode information). When fetching metadata:

• Only the content title or ID is sent to TMDB to retrieve metadata
• No personal information or viewing habits are shared with TMDB
• TMDB’s own privacy policy applies to their service: themoviedb.org/privacy-policy

Google Firebase

BigPlay uses Google Firebase services (Firestore, Crashlytics, Analytics) for app improvement and stability monitoring. Data processed by Firebase is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. No personally identifiable information is sent to Firebase.

Google AdMob

BigPlay displays advertisements to free (non-subscribed) users via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain data to serve ads, including:

• Device information (model, OS version)
• Advertising identifier (IDFA), if you have granted permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt
• General location derived from IP address (not precise location)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, taps)

If you decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt, AdMob will serve non-personalized ads and will not access your IDFA. BigPlay Pro subscribers do not see any ads, and no ad-related data is collected for them. For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy.

IPTV Providers

BigPlay connects to IPTV servers that you configure. We are not affiliated with any IPTV provider and have no access to or control over:

• The content available through your IPTV provider
• Your IPTV provider’s data practices
• Any data exchanged between your device and your IPTV server

Analytics & App Improvement

To improve BigPlay and ensure compatibility with a wide range of IPTV services, we collect limited, non-personally-identifiable technical data:

• IPTV Server Metadata: Server host, port, protocol, supported formats, and account status (e.g., active, trial, expiry date). This helps us understand which server configurations to prioritize for compatibility testing.
• Device Information: Device model, OS version, app version, region, and locale. This helps us optimize performance across different devices.
• Usage Patterns: Aggregated counts of how often playlists are added or opened (e.g., add count, open count). No viewing history, content titles, or browsing behavior is collected.

This data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore) and is used solely for app improvement purposes. It is not shared with any third party, is not used for advertising, and cannot be used to identify you personally. IPTV credentials (username and password) included in server metadata are used only for service compatibility analysis and are stored securely.

Crash Reporting

If you opt in to sharing diagnostics with Apple (via your device settings), anonymized crash reports may be shared with us through App Store Connect. These reports contain no personally identifiable information and only include technical data about the crash (device type, OS version, crash stack trace).

Children’s Privacy

BigPlay does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app does not require any personal information to function.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
